Have a Super Mothers Day!
To all you Super Mums,
The mums who have it sussed. The mums who do it all. The working mums. The nocturnal mums. The prosecco hangover mums. The mumtrepeneurs. The mums with milk stained tops and biscuit smeared pants. This one’s for you. Today is your day.
The one day for you to be appreciated for everything you do 364 days of the year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. A guaranteed day off from mumming it, slumming it, working, driving, cooking, cleaning and whatever else just has to be done.
You really are a modern day superwoman! Who cares if some days you actually leave the house with your underwear somehow on the outside of your clothes, or peaking through the leg of your ‘gym’ bottoms? It happens to the best of us.
You see, I read something today that triggered something inside of me. That yes, its ok to be airy fairy and away with the best of them, because, believe it or not, our one track mind is on the thing that matters most. Your baby, and their happy little faces. Not a care in world if mummy is perfectly dressed, showered or had chance to change her spanx. But happy that you are together and spending the afternoon singing ‘The wheels on the bus’ for the 75th time!
Mamas. Never apologise for being super. Don’t feel you need to apologise for doing it all. For doing too much. Do it for as long as you can. And when it gets tough, don’t apologise for the large G&T you have in your hand at 11.59am. It happens to the best of us.
So, to all you mamas out there, and on OUR special day- have a Super Mothers Day!!
And remember, if there’s ever a day that you don’t feel so super… Fake it. Fake it ’til you make it! This mantra seems to be working pretty well for us so far!
